Week 16

3 Students passed levels +1 through +10 in Bubblegum math this week! Way to go!
1B scholars were inspired by their accomplishment and are working hard to join them.  Keep practicing your math facts!

Scholars tried their hand at measuring a very stretchy and tasty item today: gummy worms!

Greetings 1B Families,

What a wonderfully full week it has been! From an amazing concert on Wednesday to measuring fun today, the 1B scholars are sure seeking the beauty and goodness in their learning! Next week will be no exception.  Please see below for some special events happening next week.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I wanted to extend my gratitude to you, our wonderful parents! Thank you for all you do to support our class, our school and your child's learning.  I am grateful that you share your precious children with me each day and that I can be a part of the learning journey. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday.

With gratitude,
Shannon Dawson

Class Spelling Bee Winners:
We conducted our class spelling bee this week! All of the scholars worked very hard and should be proud of their participation in this event.

We are proud to announce that the winners of our 1B spelling bee are Kade  and Janelle. Kade will move on to compete in the school spelling bee with his/her 1st-5th grade peers. Student 2 will attend as a runner up.

The school spelling bee is on Friday, January 10th at 5pm in the MPR. All are welcome to attend this event but only the 1st place winners from each section will perform in the school spelling bee.
Please reach out to Ms. Modisett (bmodisett@archwayarete.org), Arete's Spelling Bee Coordinator, with any questions or concerns.
